Carpet Cleaning Cost in Vancouver: 2026 Company Comparison
Compare current Vancouver carpet cleaning prices, room packages, quote models, inclusions, condo considerations, and common add-ons.
Vancouver provider price snapshot
There is no single useful ‘price per room’ unless the room-size rule, included treatment, access, and extra charges are also known. The comparison below uses public pages checked on August 22, 2026. A custom quote means the provider did not show a directly comparable fixed carpet-cleaning amount on the pages reviewed.
Promotions are especially time-sensitive. Dazzle’s live page advertised 20% off qualifying August bookings of $225 or more when checked; that is not a permanent base price and should not be compared with an everyday package without recalculating the full scope.
| Provider | Public price found | Pricing model | Important comparison detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vancouver Carpet Care | From $149 for up to 3 standard rooms | Published starting package | Final scope and price confirmed before scheduling |
| Home Depot Canada — BC | $149 for 2 rooms; $169 for 3; $199 for 4; $239 for 5; $269 for 6 | Room package | Maximum 200 sq. ft. per room; apartment and additional-service fees may apply |
| Dazzle Carpet Cleaning | Custom quote; live August offer was 20% off bookings of $225+ | Custom, described as all-inclusive | Promotion is time-limited; public carpet page directs customers to a free estimate |
| Refresh Carpet Cleaning | Free estimate; no fixed carpet amount found on the page checked | Scope-based estimate | Inspection, pre-treatment, agitation/steam rinse, and optional protection are described |
| SmithWerks | Custom quote; no fixed carpet amount found on the quote page checked | Detail-based quote | Form asks for rooms, furniture, pets, address, photos, and rug details |
Prices and promotions can change. Provider names are shown for comparison only; this is not a ranking or endorsement.
Room-package prices are only comparable when the room rule matches
The clearest current public room schedule found during the crawl was Home Depot Canada’s British Columbia table. It defines a room as no more than 200 square feet and a hall as no more than 100 square feet. Our own published starting price covers up to three standard rooms, with unusual layouts and large open areas reviewed before the quote is confirmed.
| Carpeted areas | Vancouver Carpet Care | Home Depot Canada — BC | Dazzle | Refresh | SmithWerks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 rooms | Tailored quote | $149 | Custom quote | Custom estimate | Custom quote |
| 3 rooms | From $149 | $169 | Custom quote | Custom estimate | Custom quote |
| 4 rooms | Tailored quote | $199 | Custom quote | Custom estimate | Custom quote |
| 5 rooms | Tailored quote | $239 | Custom quote | Custom estimate | Custom quote |
| 6 rooms | Tailored quote | $269 | Custom quote | Custom estimate | Custom quote |
Home Depot’s BC schedule states that taxes and additional services are not included. A dash or custom quote does not mean a service is unavailable; it means no directly comparable fixed package was found.
How the main pricing models compare
A lower headline can become a higher invoice when the pricing unit changes. Ask the provider to translate the quote into the actual rooms, square footage, stairs, hallways, and treatments at your property.
| Model | How it works | Useful for | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Room package | A set price covers a stated number of rooms | Typical bedrooms and living areas | Maximum room size, halls, closets, stairs, and open-plan spaces |
| Per square foot | Measured carpet area is multiplied by a rate | Large or unusual layouts | Minimum charge, measurement method, and whether stairs are separate |
| Minimum service charge | The first portion of work must reach a threshold | Small jobs where travel and setup dominate | How much area or treatment the minimum includes |
| Custom scoped quote | Price follows photos, measurements, condition, and access | Condos, stains, specialty fibres, furniture, commercial, and strata work | Whether the amount becomes fixed after review |
| Promotional threshold | A discount applies after the booking reaches a stated value | Larger multi-service bookings | Expiry, qualifying services, minimum spend, and whether extras count |
Equipment, process, and quote-detail comparison
The crawl also showed why method and access belong beside price. Truck-mounted equipment may suit a ground-level home with close parking, while a high-rise can require portable equipment, elevator coordination, and a longer equipment route.
| Provider | Method or process described | Quote inputs highlighted | Access or commercial signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vancouver Carpet Care | Inspection, suitable pre-treatment, agitation/extraction, and handoff guidance | Rooms, size, fibre, stains, pets, and previous treatment | Parking, stairs, elevator, suite, and equipment route reviewed |
| Home Depot Canada — BC | Truck-mounted steam cleaning; portable equipment for hard-to-reach areas | Room count and package selection | Additional apartment fees are disclosed |
| Dazzle | Truck-mounted and portable hot-water extraction | Free-estimate request | Residential and commercial cleaning are offered |
| Refresh | Inspection, pre-treatment, agitation, steam rinse, and optional protection | Free estimate and in-home recommendations | Van-mounted and portable equipment are described |
| SmithWerks | Needs assessment; commercial packages describe traffic/stain pre-treatment and post-job inspection | Room/furniture list, pet issues, address, photos, rug fibre and size | Dedicated commercial and strata assessment path |
Common additions that can change the total
A quote should separate the base cleaning from additions that require more time, chemistry, equipment, or access planning. The table uses the clearest public figures found and labels everything else for confirmation rather than inventing a market price.
| Item | Published reference found | What to confirm before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Hallway or corridor | Home Depot BC: $25–$45 | Maximum size and whether an open hallway counts as a room |
| Stairs | Home Depot BC: $3 per step | Number of steps, landings, risers, and access |
| Pet stain and odour | Vancouver Carpet Care: from $59 as an add-on | Affected area, backing/underlay involvement, treatment limits, and odour expectations |
| Standard 3-seat sofa | Vancouver Carpet Care: from $129 | Fabric, care label, fixed cushions, loose cushions, chaise, and staining |
| Apartment or high-rise access | Home Depot BC discloses additional apartment fees; other reviewed providers quote by scope | Parking, loading, elevator, floor, water/power, and portable-equipment route |
| Carpet protection | Refresh describes optional Fresh Guard; comparable fixed price not found | Coverage, warranty terms, fibre suitability, and whether it is optional |
Residential, commercial, and strata quotes are different jobs
Commercial and strata carpet cleaning is rarely comparable to a residential room package. Measured area, traffic lanes, working hours, resident communication, floor-by-floor sequencing, compliance documents, and recurring frequency can matter more than room count.
| Property type | Typical pricing basis | Operational details | Best quote evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| House | Rooms, square footage, stairs, and treatments | Parking, furniture, pets, and drying | Room list, photos, stains, and approximate dimensions |
| Condo or apartment | Rooms plus building-access implications | Elevator, loading, portable equipment, floor, and contractor hours | Suite/floor details, parking instructions, and strata rules |
| Office or retail | Measured area, condition, and one-time or recurring scope | Operating hours, security, traffic lanes, furniture, water, and power | Floor plan, square footage, work windows, and site contact |
| Strata common areas | Measured corridors, stairs, lobbies, floors, and frequency | Resident notice, elevator bookings, sequencing, drying, and documentation | Site walkthrough, floor count, access rules, and maintenance goals |
A fair quote-comparison checklist
Send every provider the same scope and ask for the total in writing. If one quote is much lower, check whether it excludes a hallway, stairs, pre-treatment, parking, pet treatment, furniture, or tax rather than assuming the cleaning itself is equivalent.
- State each room and its approximate dimensions
- Identify halls, closets, stairs, landings, rugs, and upholstery separately
- Share fibre information, stains, odours, pets, and previous treatments
- Provide the address, suite, floor, elevator, parking, and loading details
- Ask which pre-treatment, spotting, extraction, furniture movement, and protection steps are included
- Confirm taxes, promotion terms, minimum charges, and the point when the price becomes final
- Request realistic drying guidance and clarify what happens if a stain or fibre is unsuitable
Methodology and limitations
This guide was expanded after a live Firecrawl review of Vancouver Carpet Care, Dazzle Carpet Cleaning, Refresh Carpet Cleaning, SmithWerks, and Home Depot Canada’s British Columbia carpet-cleaning page on August 22, 2026. It compares only information visible on the public pages reviewed. It does not reproduce private quotes, assume that an unlisted item is included, or rank providers.
Competitor links are intentionally omitted. Public prices, promotions, service areas, and inclusions can change without notice, so obtain a current written quote before booking.
Stock photography is illustrative. Pricing is a planning guide, not a guaranteed quote.
